Hazel Gardner

Hazel Gardner is a children’s author who lives in Preston with her human, cat and tortoise family. After a Master’s degree and a string of serious jobs, she now enjoys nothing more than bringing her very unserious sense of humour to picture books and children’s fiction. When she isn’t writing, Hazel can often be found feeding her local murder of crows.

Hazel’s debut picture book, PENGUIN AND PUP: THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS, published in October 2024 and has since released PENGUIN AND PUP: THE PERFECT EGG in 2025.
