Neil Blair founded The Blair Partnership in 2011 with a vision to create a more progressive type of agency.

As J.K. Rowling’s agent, we have pioneered a new approach to representation that has helped to create and continues to constantly grow one of the world’s major entertainment franchises.

We represent a range of people internationally, from debut and established writers to broader talent across business, politics, sport and lifestyle. Our range of work spans publishing, digital, dramatic rights and film production.

We are a member of the Association of Authors' Agents (AAA), whose Code of Practice can be found here.

Our agency is made
up of three parts.

Blair Literary

Our literary arm works with emerging talent across fiction and nonfiction for both children and adults. We represent a wide mix of people from award winning debuts to well-known writers – from Sir Chris Hoy, Justine Pattison and Sophie Nicholls to Bana Alabed, Jo Malone MBE and Henry Fraser.

Blair Franchise

Born out of our work on the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchises, our team brings together the essential mix of expertise needed to manage larger properties – from brand and international rights management to commercial deal-making and digital.

Blair Productions

We also run two production companies, Brontë Film and TV and Snowed-In Productions. Brontë’s productions include J.K. Rowling’s THE CASUAL VACANCY (BBC and HBO), and Robert Galbraith’s Cormoran Strike detective series (BBC and HBO). Snowed-In is in production with MRS WILSON (BBC) for transmission late 2018/2019, and is also in development with Fox 2000 on a feature film of David Baddiel’s bestselling children’s book THE PARENT AGENCY.
