Margaret McDonald is a Scottish author from Glasgow. She writes YA fiction and is a first generation, working class graduate. She holds a Masters with Distinction from Glasgow University and a First Class B.A (Hons) from Strathclyde University. She was long-listed in the Emerging Writer Award 2022 and short-listed in Cranked Anvil Short Story Competition 2020.
Margaret lives with Crohn’s Disease and is published in the disability-focused magazine Breath and Shadow as well as the prose and poetry magazines Bandit Fiction, Bubble Lit, In Parentheses, The Manifest Station and Page and Spine. She has worked for the NHS and the South Lanarkshire Council.
