The Cuckoo’s Calling Wins at the National Film Awards
We are thrilled that the National Film Award for Best TV Drama Series has been awarded to The Cuckoo’s Calling, produced by Bronte TV and Film and based on the first book in the bestselling Cormoran Strike series by Robert Galbraith, a pseudonym for J.K. Rowling.
The National Film Awards is an annual awards ceremony that celebrates the best in British film and television over the past year. All winners are nominated and voted for by movie fans.
Bronte Film and TV’s adaptation of the books has been received with widespread critical acclaim. The five-part series has been hailed as a both vintage and modern, highly watchable and brilliantly cast (Express), with the Telegraph commenting that ‘televisions next great detective has arrived’. The series has been gripping audiences across the country, bringing in over seven million viewers per episode.
The third series instalment, Strike – Career of Evil, is out to buy on DVD from 16th April along with the full three series DVD boxset
The series, CB Strike, will air in the US on Cinemax later this year.
