The Little Book of Big Weightloss goes global
The Little Book of Big Weightloss, originally a self-published book by Australian celebrity hair and make-up artist Bernadette Fisers, has been sold to Transworld UK and Penguin Australia in a three-way auction by Zoe King of the Blair Partnership. The book is whipping up further enthusiasm globally, with a wave of international pre-emptive deals brokered at the London Book Fair by our in-house International Publishing team.
In less than a week, rights have been sold to publish in eight territories: France (Marabout, Hachette Livre), Norway (Gyldendal), Finland (Otava), Greece (Psichogios), Estonia (Varrak), Denmark (Gyldendal), Turkey (Dogan Kitap) and Serbia (Evrobook).
Through the research and application of her own weight loss method, Bernadette Fisers was able to shed 30kg in 30 weeks. The Little Book of Big Weight Loss is a no nonsense guide to radical and sustainable weight loss for anyone sick and tired of diet failure and confused by conflicting diet advice and complicated regimens. Based on a set of 31 food and lifestyle “rules” it is quick to read and offers a fresh “can do” approach to dieting and sustainable health. Her mission is to fight obesity and encourage a healthier world.
Jessica Malsen, head of International Publishing, said: “We’re thrilled with the huge level of enthusiasm this title has received internationally. Bern’s Little Book of Big Weight Loss is filling a gap in the market. It has seduced publishers worldwide through its fun, simple, no-nonsense approach and graphic design.”
