Weekly Highlights (Oct 16th – 22nd)

While many of our agents and international team–including our new head of international rights, Liane-Louise–flew the TBP flag at Frankfurt Bookfair this week, there’s been lots of exciting client things happening!
Book Announcements

On Monday, it was announced that one of our newer clients and former Good Housekeeping editor, Lindsay Nicholson, will be publishing her memoir with HarperCollins in a pre-empt deal.
Then on Wednesday, Ed Winters (Earthling Ed)’s second book, HOW TO ARGUE WITH A MEAT EATER, was announced as being published by Penguin on the 28th of December, 2023. Ed has also recently been squirrelling away to record the audio version of HOW TO ARGUE WITH A MEAT EATER. You can pre-order his second book via this link.
Celebrations
Not only has BEAR SHAPED by Dawn Coulter-Cruttenden, been included in ‘The Top Ten books for a Balanced Bookshelf’ list by Inclusive Books for Children, but it was selected as one of the ‘5 Best books that represent Neurodiversity’ by Books For Topics. You can order BEAR SHAPED here.
In other news, THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF: KITCHEN CLASSICS has been storming the Amazon charts, and is officially an Amazon #1 bestseller! It truly is the best accompaniment for this year’s Bake Off TV series, and you can order it here.
Cover Reveal

The cover for Lizzy Dent’s hotly anticipated next book, JUST ONE TASTE, has been announced – and it’s equal parts beautiful and hilarious! The book is due to be publish July 2024, so keep an eye out for pre-order links in the near future.

International News
Anbara Salam’s brilliant novel, HAZARDOUS SPIRITS, was published in the US on Tuesday. Anbara spoke with the daily culture site, CrimeReads, to discuss what the 1920s teach us about grief, fraud, and spiritualism. You can read her interview here and order the US edition of HAZARDOUS SPIRITS here!
