Rachel Rowlinson

Rachel Rowlinson is an award-winning market researcher who spends her evenings and weekends writing fiction. She has a deep love of feminist horror/femgore and all things gothic, folkloric and uncanny.  

Her novel-in-progress was longlisted for the Bath Novel Award 2025 and shortlisted for the Lucy Cavendish Fiction Prize 2025. Like Rachel, the story’s main character is an avid (wild) swimmer – though, unlike Rachel, she also has rather murderous tendencies.

Rachel was born in Birmingham and currently lives in East London with her partner and four cats: Pink, Floyd, Cat Stevens and Mac.
