What we are looking for

We welcome all submissions and consider everything that is sent to the agency. We are currently focused on commercial and reading group fiction, including thrillers, crime, mysteries, historical, women’s, accessible literary, children’s and YA fiction, and non-fiction with an original message or platform. We do not currently represent scripts or screenplays. We are not currently open to short stories or poetry.

Our agency is particularly well suited to authors wishing to make a career of their writing. We welcome approaches from both debut writers and established authors. We’re very happy to receive submissions from overseas, as long as they’re written in English.

How to send us your work

We only accept electronic submissions. These can be sent via email as a Word Document, Pages Document or PDF, clearly laid out and readable. We cannot accept Google documents or WeTransfer and Dropbox downloads.

Please send us the first three chapters of your manuscript with a one page synopsis, or, in the case of non-fiction, your proposal document alongside a writing sample, to: [email protected]

If you have written a series of books, please only send us the first three chapters of the first book and give us an overview of your series in the covering letter.

In your covering letter we’d like to hear what drives you as a writer, who your writing is for (your target market) and the genre of your writing, any competitions or prizes you have won, authors you would place your work alongside, and how best to get in contact with you.

We are looking for a strong voice and writing that stands out and makes us read on. If we’re drawn into the first three chapters we’ll read the synopsis to see how the story develops and unfolds. If we like your work, we will ask to see more material and then contact you to discuss it.

We do not accept postal submissions – any material submitted in this way will not be considered and will be recycled.

Our turnaround time

You should expect to hear from us within 6-8 weeks of us receiving your work. If you haven’t heard from us after that time, please make sure you check your junk folders, then feel free to email us and follow up.
